Ian McIntosh graduated from Travis Technical Center in June of 2001 and became a licensed massage therapist in the fall of 2001.

Upon graduation Ian became employed by Bennett Christiansen Academy, a public school for children with chronic disorders and chronic pain.  For the three years the school existed Ian helped reduce the pain levels of the students, using a wide variety of techniques.  In addition to working for the school he also maintained office hours and worked to build a private practice.  Once the school closed in 2004 Ian continued to work with the children from the school as well as other children in chronic pain for free as a way to give back to the community. Ian has continued his education to better serve his clientele by becoming more knowledgeable and has obtained certifications in Shiatsu, Auricular Therapy, cupping, therapeutic ultrasound, estim, myofacial release, and trigger point therapy.

Franko Triscritti 2nd VP

 

Franko Triscritti – Second VP MA41174

Franko Triscritti  career spans more than 25 years as a biomedical engineer working and consulting in hospitals, clinics and treatment centers across the nation. He completed postgraduate studies in physiology and biophysics at Georgetown University School of Medicine and research and education studies at Salisbury University College of Education. His Master of Science Degree was earned at the University of Petra. He attended the CORE Institute School of Massage and Structural Bodywork In Tallahassee and became certified as a myofascial release therapist. Franko has taught massage as well as anatomy and physiology, and pathophysiology at several Tampa Bay area colleges including Florida Career college,  Southwest Florida College and Keiser University.  He was also been an inspector with The Commission of Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) for three years  and has been a member of FSMTA since 2005.  Franko currently owns and operates My Tampa Massage, a cooperative of BMS Holistic Health in Tampa and is FSMTA Heart of Florida Chapter’s 2nd VP.

My name is Mary Basta,  I was born in and raise here in Lakeland Florida. My son who is the second generation to born here, who has been my greatest supporter on my journey to being a LMT . Thank you Adam. I have been an LMT since October 2013. I attended Everest University and  receive my certification in massage therapy. As an LMT it has been a great journey to see, the benefits that clients receive from what a massage can do for people. I hope to go on learn more modalities to help the clients understand the benefits of massage. I look forward to getting to know other seasoned therapist to learned from.

Debbie Owen has been a Massage Therapist for 15 years. She graduated from Lee College in Texas for Nursing in 1993. She worked as a Nurse until deciding to go through Massage Therapy School in 1999 in Texas. She moved back to the Florida town where she was born and went back through Massage Therapy School at Ridge Career Center to obtain more hours of schooling to get her license in Florida. She has worked as a Massage Therapist for the past 4 years at Mountain Lake Estates in Lake Wales, FL. She is the Heart of Florida’s Treasurer and Sports Team Chair.

Adele Boyd has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1996.

In 1999, she collaborated with a resort on the design and build of her spa which lead to her going back to school to obtain a facial specialists license. She has worked in both the Resort Spa and Clinical settings. She ran the front office scheduling and third party billing for a clinical office. She was also involved in running a Sports massage team.  She practices the valuable soft handed approach to dysfunctions such as lymphatic drainage, Medi-Cupping, Cranial/Sacral, Swedish, and Pregnancy massage techniques. She completed 10 years working in customer service at a Disney 5 star resort, graduated Valencia College, and has been a guest instructor at Keiser University, Ridge Technical Center, and Westside Vo- tech. She is currently teaching massage therapy for Everest University South Orlando.
